Luciano Dottarelli e Giuseppe Nascetti alla riunione del comitato promotore
Il 20 aprile scorso, presso il Dipartimento di Scienze ecologiche dell’Università della Tuscia, si è svolta la prima riunione del Comitato promotore del Club per l’Unesco Viterbo Tuscia dopo il recente riconoscimento ufficiale da parte della Ficlu (Federazione italiana club e centri Unesco).
Nel corso dell’incontro, il presidente incaricato Luciano Dottarelli ha illustrato le iniziative già intraprese e il percorso che il Comitato promotore dovrà completare per giungere, al termine del primo anno di attività, alla conferma del Club come membro a pieno titolo della Ficlu.
Oltre a proseguire nel lavoro di elaborazione dello Statuto e di strutturazione organizzativa, il Comitato promotore, in questa fase di avvio, sarà impegnato nella realizzazione di un programma di iniziative che dovranno dare concreta attuazione alle finalità dell’associazione, che sono: promuovere la comprensione e la diffusione dei princìpi e degli ideali d’azione dell’Unesco adoperandosi per il successo dei suoi programmi, campagne mondiali e altre iniziative a carattere educativo, sociale e culturale; contribuire alla formazione democratica dei cittadini e particolarmente dei giovani, attraverso studi ed attività connessi alle problematiche proposte dalla Dichiarazione Universale dei Diritti dell’Uomo; favorire la comprensione internazionale, la cooperazione e la pace, attraverso una migliore conoscenza delle diverse civiltà, della loro storia e del loro patrimonio culturale in un’ottica universalistica; impegnarsi per la conoscenza, la tutela e l’efficace fruizione del patrimonio culturale della Tuscia anche attraverso la promozione di candidature alle liste del Patrimonio Mondiale culturale, naturale e immateriale dell’Umanità; ricercare la collaborazione con le istituzioni locali e con tutti i soggetti pubblici e privati che nella Tuscia, in Italia e all’estero operano in ambiti affini per promuovere progetti in sintonia con i princìpi ispiratori e le finalità dell’Unesco; svolgere ogni altra attività che possa contribuire al perseguimento delle finalità associative e a dare impulso alla crescita culturale e civile dei soci e del territorio di riferimento.
Dall’incontro sono emerse alcune significative proposte che saranno realizzate nei prossimi mesi sia su temi più rispondenti alle richieste del territorio sia in adesione alle giornate internazionali o a specifiche campagne Unesco.
In particolare nel mese di novembre il Comitato ha deciso di partecipare alla Settimana di educazione allo sviluppo sostenibile in adesione alla campagna per il “Decennio Onu dell’Educazione allo Sviluppo Sostenibile 2005-2014″(Dess), promossa dall’Unesco allo scopo di diffondere valori, consapevolezze, stili di vita orientati al rispetto per il prossimo e per il pianeta.
Nello svolgimento di tutte le attività il Club aderisce alle finalità indicate dalla Federazione Italiana, in linea con gli ideali e l’azione dell’Unesco, proposte dalla Federazione Mondiale dei Club e Centri Unesco ai Club di tutto il mondo.
Nella collaborazione con Istituzioni, soggetti pubblici e privati che condividono le suddette finalità sarà prestata grande attenzione a conservare comunque l’identità e l’autonomia dell’ Associazione.
